All international internships, that IAESTE could not yet find a candidate for, are online for everyone to have a look. New ones are added frequently. >> unused-offers

If you are interested in an IAESTE-internship, you have to register with your  local committee in fall, the year before. If IAESTE is not represented at your university or university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule), the local committee closest to where you study will usually be responsible for you. (Students of Lower Austria, for example, are serviced by the LC Vienna)

Please note: IAESTE can only place students of engineering or applied science degrees for international internships.

Throughout the early months of the academic year, IAESTE will offer international interns to Austrian employers. Every internship acquired in this process, will in return allow one Austrian student to do an internship abroad. At the end of January, internships are traded in an international conference. Due to the nature of the exchange, based on supply and demand, IAESTE can never guarantee to provide a particular internship, but we always to try to accomodate your expectations as closely as possible - if we know them.
In addition to "regular" internships, traded according to our schedule, some internships are always available on the International Internship Market of IAESTE. These internships are not administered by the Local Committees, please contact  IAESTE Austria.

Workflow

1. Early fall: register with your local committee.
2. Early fall to January: If you help IAESTE to secure internships in Austria, this will increase your chances of being selected for an internship yourself.
3. Fall: Turn in all the necessary documents. (ask your Local Committee for details)
4. End of January: Presentation of available internships by the Local Committee
5. Beginning of February: Selection of candidates, according to qualification and comittment.
6. Application to the company, turn in last documents
7. Confirmation of Acceptance by the employing company
8. Start of your internship.

• IAESTE internships are paid for, at least your living expenses will be covered.

In  the case of conflict...

If you should run into trouble with your Local Committee, IAESTE Austria or IAESTE in general, you can rely on the  IAESTE Ombudsman to help you resolve your conflict.
